[Brief Description] | This is Arrow Shark new and improved rudder system. Following analysis of feedback from our many worldwide operators of Arrow Shark boats, and as a result of trialling alternative set-ups on our own test fleet, we have introduced this new rudder which features a longer bracket. The rudder blade is now positioned 5 inches (127 mm) back from the transom for better leverage and improved control response. It also minimises or eliminates the tendency of some boats to pull to the right at high speed. As well, duel water feeds give twin separate flows for improved cooling. Depending on your engine and exhaust installation, the dual flow can be directed either both to the cylinder head jacket and then on to the exhaust flange, or one to the cylinder head and one to the exhaust. Either way will keep your engine and exhaust efficiently cooled without the need for any additional water pick-ups on the transom. The water pick-up in the rudder blade is open on both sides of the blade so that the incoming flow of water is not interrupted in turns either way; with the pick-up open on only one side as in many other rudders, the incoming flow can be blanketed by the other face of the blade in turns toward that side of the rudder. As with all our hardware, this new rudder and bracket are CNC-machined from top quality alloy for excellent durability - and to look good too! |
