| [Brief Description] | WGT-1C Gear Box is special development product for large scale catamaran hull application, there has been a long-standing challenge for a single engine transmitting power to two counter-rotating drives in a large scaled catamaran hull, most common set up would be two engine or two electric motor side by side straightly connecting to two drives, but, this set up would not be able to control both engine run at identical speed which effects the boat performance. The WGT-1C Gear Box is the solution key solve this technical issue perfectly.
The main components of WGT-1C gear box are precision-engineered and manufactured with up-to-date CNC technology, it has a shinny external finish and anodized in brilliant red and Jet Black. The internal was precisely machined to remove any surplus metal to reduce the weight and maximize the free room for storing lubrication oil. WGT-1C comes with three detachable shaft collets for both shaft input and output, plus a short length flexible shaft for the connection between the gas engine and the gear box input, all the drive shafts and collets made of high quality stainless steel to avoid corrosion and rusting. The two output collets will accept any 1/4 inches (6.35mm) diameter flexible shaft. The gears inside the box has lighten hollowing out design and manufactured with technology of compacting process of powder metallurgy the same technology used for gears in full size automotive transmissions, these gears offers more rigidity and much lighter in weight compare to the machine and harden gears, and these gears were supported by total 16 heavy-duty ball bearings via the harden drive shafts, this results in ultra smooth operation and enable to handle any gas or electric motor over 15HP with up to 25000RPM+ without failure. The WGT-1C Will suit both Gas Engine or Electric Brushless Motor with any large scale catamaran hull application from 60 inches up to 75 inches. It will be shipped to you fully assembled and ready for the installation of your next project. Please Note: The Gear Box will be shipped to you without pre-filling the lubrication oil, you will need to fill the lubrication oil after you receive it. Any brand of 4 stoke oil or gear oil will work. |
